Monica Anghel (born May 1, 1970 in Klosterneuburg) is a Romanian singer born in Austria. In 1996 she took part in the international preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Unfortunately the Romanian song "Rugâ pentru pacea lumii" was not chosen to go to the international final in Oslo. In the same year, she won the "Golden Stag" for Romania.
There was more Eurovision luck for Monica when she could participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn together with Marcel Pavel. Their song "Tell me why" reached the 9th place, which was the third best score ever for Romania. Their appearance at Eurovision 2002 it can be watched right HERE From few years ago Monica started to collaborate with comical group Divertis and her acting qualities and talents are outstanding.
