Moneyglass

Moneyglass (Irish: Muine Glas) is a small village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 90 people. It is situated within the Antrim Borough Council area.

  • Moneyglass was at one time home to Malachy McCourt and his family. He was the father of Frank McCourt, author of Angela's Ashes and other books.
  • Champion National Hunt jockey, Tony McCoy, who received an MBE in 2003, was born in Moneyglass.Moneyglass hosted the mx1gp 2007 and lough neah rally.
