Mondrian Hotel

The Mondrian Hotel is a hotel in West Hollywood, California, located on Sunset Boulevard. The original building was built in 1959 as an apartment building. It was reopened in 1996 by Morgans Hotel Group.
It is famous for its restaurant, the Asia de Cuba restaurant, as well as its Skybar and its location on the Sunset Strip.

Indoor/Outdoor Lobby - The original Asia de Cuba, serving a blend of Asian and Latin cuisine, is under the direction of Jeffrey Chodorow, whose Asia de Cuba outposts in Morgans Hotel in New York City, St Martins Lane in London and San Francisco's Clift Hotel.
SeaBar – it offers a “Floating Bar” that has no bartenders.
Outdoor Area – An international collection of furniture and objects, with no fixed arrangement that are completely moveable throughout the space. These works span over a century and continents of North and South America, Asia, Africa and Europe, including Spain, France, Sweden, Italy, Germany and Great Britain.
Pool – a heated pool with underwater classical music.

The wrap party of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was held at the Mondrian in 1999. Images of the party at the Mondrian can be seen in the season seven DVD of the series. [1]
On December 4, 2007, rapper Pimp C, was found dead in his hotel room.[2]
