Monday With a Mad Genius is the 38th book in the Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne. Cover and illustrations are by Sal Murdocca. This book takes place in Florence, Italy during the Renaissance. Jack and Annie, the series regulars, encouter Leonardo da Vinci.

Jack and Annie are on a mission to save Merlin from his sorrows! Charged with finding the second of four secrets of happiness, the brother-and-sister team travel back in the magic tree house to the period known as the Renaissance. This time, Jack and Annie will need more than a magic wand and research book for help. They'll need help from one of the greatest minds of all time. What will they learn from Leonardo da Vinci?

This is the summary of the book. As said in Dragon of the Red Dawn, Merlin has fallen ill from his sorrows, and will not eat or sleep or speak to anyone in Camelot. To revive him, Jack and Annie must search for four secrets of happiness to share with Merlin.
