Moncrieff, Australian Capital Territory

Moncrieff (postcode 2914) is a planned suburb in the Canberra, Australia district of Gungahlin. Land for the suburb has been designated but as of 2005 building has not begun.


It is located next to the suburbs of Ngunnawal, Amaroo, Taylor and Jacka. It is bounded by Mirrabei Drive and the planned extension to Horse Park Drive. Located in the suburb is part of a bike track.

Moncrieff is the only undeveloped Canberra Suburb to have a suburb sign erected

A central ridge with greenbelts is located in the suburb. The high point is 674 meters on a hill in the west.

The rock under Moncrieff consists of Canberra Formation of middle Silurian age. It consists of shale, slate, and mudstone.[1]
