Advocate Monce Joseph, (also known as Mons Joseph) MLA, the youngest minister in Kerala's present Left Democratic Front (LDF) ministry in India. He belongs to Kerala Congress (J) party lead by P. J. Joseph, and represents Kaduthuruthy legislative Assembly of Kerala. He had sworn in as Minister for Public Works by Governor R.L. Bhatia on 18 October 2007.

His parents are Mr. O. Joseph and Mrs. Mariamma Joseph. He had born at Aappanchira in Kaduthuruthy on 30 May 1964. He was graduated to M.A, LL.B, Advocate and served as Social and Political Worker.

He entered politics through K.S.C while a student. He served as Chairman and General Secretary of K.S.C., Baselius College, Kottayam, President and General Secretary of Students Congress, President, Youth Front (J) State Committee and Kerala Congress Kottayam District Committee.

He held position of President of the Post Graduate Students’ Association and Office bearer of various Trade Unions. He also served as Member, Kerala Youth Welfare Committee, Consumer Protection Committee, and Mahatma Gandhi University Senate. He also held many Students’ agitations.

He is presently serving as Chairman of egislators Petition association, General Secretary of Kerala Congress (J) State Committee, Member of LDF Kottayam District Liaison Committee, Gandhiji Study Centre Executive Council, and President of Kerala Research Centre.
