I don't think this is correct: "homosexuality in England was illegal, punishable by execution". Wasn't it buggery that was illegal, rather than homosexuality per se? DavidFarmbrough 08:37, 29 September 2005 (UTC)

Homosexuality was recriminalised by the Criminal Law Amendment Act 1885. Dave420 12:09, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
