[edit] Pendant

I am ignorant of chemistry beyond the secondary-school level and I had never seen this sense of the word pendant before finding it in this article. It appears to be a technical use of that word, but no Wikipedia article titled pendant (chemistry) or the like seems to exist. Would creation of such an article be in order? • Hi Michael Hardy, I was totally unaware that the phrase pendant can lead to confusion but I am not a native English speaker. It is not something typically technical or chemical so there is no need for a separate article. To me (and my dictionary agrees) pendant is equivalent to something like counterpart. I would not replace it by is an example of. V8rik 16:30, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
    • Which dictionary is that? I just looked in the Oxford English Dictionary and I don't find that sense. Michael Hardy 02:13, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
      • that would be my English to Dutch dictionary. But once again I am not qualified to make a call and our co-editor Stone has already made a change. So the matter should be closed. V8rik 18:32, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
