Swedish indie/rock band from Karlstad in Värmland.
Molotov Jive, four guys from Sweden that has been making dirty rock 'n' roll since 2003, with the honest, sometimes seen as naive, teenage frustration in the right places. Their songs are about the time of youth getting longer and longer, about the frustration, passion och the life in the great. Musical counted, they say to have been inspired by everything recorded since 1963 until today. Mostly they lift out inspiration sources such as The Beatles, The Smiths and the early The Who, but you can also find similar sounds in the early Springsteen, David Bowie and The Libertines. They create messy and dirty rock with passionate pop-melodies and this fall their debut album will have its release through Bonnier Amigo Music
In March of 2006 their first single was released, "The Luck You Got", and in June their second single "Made In Spain" reached the stores. On 25th of October 2006 Molotov Jive released their debut album "When It's All Over I'll Come Back Again", with, among others, you can find "Made In Spain" which they shot the video for in Barcelona, Spain.
The band went on to release two further singles, Weight off my Shoulder, and the download only, Valentines Day. 2007 saw them make their first foray into mainland Europe with shows in London followed by a sizable support tour with fellow Swedes Sugarplum Fairy. This provided the band with a much needed foot hold and resulted in European deals for their album which went on to be released there in October 2007. Their first major headline tour coinsided with the release of the album, followed in Jauary 2008 with another support tour with UK band The Enemy.
The Band are currently starting work on the follow up album with producr Tom Hakava.
