Molly Pitcher Stakes

The Molly Pitcher Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race raced annually at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey. The race is open to fillies and mares, age three and up, willing to race one and one-sixteenth miles on the dirt. This Grade II event carries a purse of $300,000.
In 1951, the Molly Pitcher was the first race ever to be televised in color.
Searching won this race in 1958. The great mare Personal Ensign won it in 1988.
