Molesme

Molesme is a commune of the Côte-d'Or département, in France. As of 1999, its population was 225. It was the home of a Benedictine monastery. In the twelfth century, Saint Robert took his monks from this monastery and founded a new monastery at Citeaux, which became the Cistercian order.
