Molėtai (Polish: Malaty) is a city in north eastern Lithuania. One of the oldest settlements in Lithuania, it is a popular resort for the inhabitants of Vilnius. As of 2005 it had roughly 7000 inhabitants.

The town is located roughly 60 kilometres north of Vilnius and 30 south of Utena. It was first mentioned as a private property of the bishop of Vilnius. In modern times the town is also a seat of an astrophysical observatory, the only such facility in Lithuania. The town of Molėtai has many lakes that are very popular camping sites during the summer months of June, July, and August. Aisetas is one of the most common lakes in the Molėtai region.
