[edit] Summary

This is a montage of three cropped TV screen shots showing the flag of Moldova.

The first shot shows a Moldovan flag flying from a flag pole at an oil refinery; the coat of arms is clearly reversed (note which way the eagle is facing).

The second and third shots show a flag flying from a Moldovan military vehicle — one view of the back, and another of the front (note the ordering of the coloured bars in the two shots). The coat of arms is equally distinct on both sides of this flag, suggesting that the coat of arms seen on the reverse side was most likely printed on the back and is not simply showing through from the front through thin fabric.

These three screen shots were taken from the Curier nightly news broadcast of NIT in Moldova, originally broadcast on July 31, 2007 and seen on the American cable/satellite channel SCOLA on August 31. Use of these screen shots in the article on the Flag of Moldova should qualify as fair use because the information is directly relevant to the question of whether the reverse side of flags actually used in Moldova today contain the coat of arms or not.
