Founded in 1989, and in 1991 moved to the Reeperbahn, was the Mojo Club a fixed size in the Hamburg night life and with such a large, international reputation, just as it was before the Star Club. Thus, the club with the characteristic "M" as a trademark for the contingent's Viaduct for the London club pioneers of modern sounds. As the mouthpiece of the dancefloor jazz, and as a pioneer in terms of modern breakbeat-oriented tunes had the Mojo Club in the 90s and beyond tone in the German club scene. This was reflected in his sets and performances by artists such as Gilles Peterson, Massive Attack, EZ Rollers & Kruder and Dorfmeister and in the successful over the years Club series "Electric Mojo" and "Jazz Dance Floor". Stark innovative character was also complementary with the cultural programme, held since 1993 "Urban Poetry" - and "Power Club"-readings and Raphael Marionneaus Le Café Abstrait to the Sound Chillout 1996 paved the way.
Although closed the legendary Mojo Club in April 2003 its doors to the Reeperbahn, the Mojo crew does its magic but also act without a fixed home. In Hamburg operates the successful club lounge in the Mandalay near Schanzenviertel, as well as the new Mandarin Club casino affiliated with the Mandarin Bar Here, the mojo continue what they started in 1989. Ebneten it was the way for the continental triumph of Acid Jazz, they now devote international music trends such as NuSoul, sophisticated hip-hop and electro funk. After only one year is the Mandarin casino as the major focal point for lovers of high-quality DJ sets and live concerts in the music adult entertainment. There are both guest appearances by the likes Amp Fiddler, Soularia, Regy Clasen, Arrested Development, Ugly Duckling and nylon, as well as the club evenings extravagant "casino shows," or the mojo-affinity "Grand Royal" nights.
