Moissac is NOT on the Canal du Midi. It is on the Canal Lateral a la Garonne. The two meet at Toulouse and are collectively known as the Canal des Deux Mers, or sometimes the Canal entre des Mers. The 19th century Lateral a la Garonne goes from the Garonne, east of Bordeaux (and the Atlantic), to Toulouse. The 17th century Canal du Midi goes from Toulouse to Sete (and the Mediterranean). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.5.162.56 (talk) 08:40, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
