[edit] Fictional character biography
Moira Brandon is a famous movie star, playing Joan of Arc and Cleopatra. She otherwise led an uneventful life. She owns a sprawling West Coast compound that the heroes Hawkeye and his wife Mockingbird came to check out. They were scouting for a base for the Avengers to operate out of in California.
During the visit, the heroes are attacked by the villain Crossfire. He manages to overwhelm them. Before they are injured, Moira uses Crossfire's crossbow against him. She collapses soon afterwards. Moments later, Hawkeye officially declares her an honorary Avenger.
She passes away years later, proud to the end of her courage in saving Hawkeye and Mockingbird.
