{{unblock|I don't understand this block, the second by [[User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me]]. I'd almost say it's a vandalism of my account because I can't find any mention of my being blocked under the "blog log" on "my contributions". What really pisses me off is I was about to hit save to a major revision of [[Chad Deering]] when I got blocked so I lost those changes.}}

Go to WP:SANDBOX and try editing there. What response are you getting? Since ythere's no block on your account, it's got to be an autoblock. Try editing the sandbox and see what the message says. There should be a template for you to copy and paste here. When you do that, we'll be able to tell what needs to be done to get you unblocked. I've deactivated the template for now so that other admins don't come along only to see that I've already advised you, but that doesn't mean I'm denying your request obviously. So, post the autoblock unblock request and that should help. And hopefully you were able to save the Chad Deering article somehow, I'd be interested to see it (is he still playing? I haven't even thought of that name since France '98). Metros232 02:01, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Block on 132.22.254.237 converted to "anon-only." You should be able to edit while logged in. Sorry for the trouble!

[edit] Adubarie Otorubio

I have reverted your edit since there is not proper references or citation. See Citation and please do not remove the template until it is fixed. You can source an article through external sources without citation. Thanks ThorX 00:08, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please Use Edit Summaries

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Jmlk17 08:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Robert Ukrop

Regarding your note on my talk page on Robert Ukrop: Unfortunate that you're irked. As I politely pointed out, sourcing information from autobiographical web pages in wikipedia is not good and deletion of such material is encouraged. My flagging the article was minimally invasive vs. deletion. It seemed the article does have merit and could easily be fixed as you have done. No need to make accusations on user talk pages. You've had issues with folks asking you to cite your sources before.Toddstreat1 18:43, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bob Kehoe

Hello! I had Kehoe sitting around in my "to-do" pile, Iwas surprised someone else beat me to it. Looks like you did a really good job with it, cheers! Faithlessthewonderboy 10:11, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gino Pariani

Sorry, what's your source for real Pariani's name being Giovanni? --necronudist 12:00, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Good! You're doing a great job with American soccer, I always appreciate your edits and your works. :-) --necronudist 09:33, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ed Czerkiewicz

Please take a look at this. --necronudist 10:30, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mark Jonas

Hello! I've noticed that you've created a lot of articles on American soccer players. Good job. I just want to ask if you know (or can find some information) on whether the Mark Jonas who earned a cap in 1991 [1] is the same person as the Mark Jonas who currently plays for the Carolina RailHawks. Thanks! Chanheigeorge 01:33, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the answer! Chanheigeorge 17:33, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hayden Knight

I would like to discuss the revision you made on the Hayden Knight page of Wikipedia concerning his birthday. I am a student in his American Institutions class and I heard from his own lips his birthday was March 17, the same day as St. Patricks Day, he said. If you really want to ask him first person http://www.cedarburg.k12.wi.us/display/router.asp?docid=850 is the url that contains his email address. You can ask him, but don't be surprised if he doesn't respond- he is the type of teacher who dismisses Wikipedia as merely a bad source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.86.165.54 (talk) 05:09, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tab Ramos

Can you please check this edit I made? I've always thought that Tabaré can't be a first name (never listened, and too similar to Tabares, a common surname), and I've found this link who seems to agree. The website is also quite reliable. What do you think? --necronudist (talk) 10:19, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I see everywhere "Tabaré Ramos" or "Tabaré Ramos Ricciardi" or Tabares, but Tabaré/Tabares is a really curious first name...Seems more like a surname. You know, you're an American soccer expert so I thought you could know something more :-) However, I think mediotiempo is right. --necronudist (talk) 17:30, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Frank Vaughn

Hi! Do you know what's his middle name? --necronudist (talk) 10:42, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok! Thank you! Let me know if they'll answer. --necronudist (talk) 14:32, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
P.S.: you can ask also for Tabaré Ramos if you want! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Necronudist (talkcontribs) 14:33, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Michael Collins (soccer)

You put Michael Collins' date of birth as 1894, but the linked NYT article says he was 25 in 1987, => c. 1962. Please fix this! - Fayenatic (talk) 20:17, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] An article which you started, or significantly expanded, Tommy Fleming, was selected for DYK!

Updated DYK query On January 16, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Tommy Fleming, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Thanks for your contributions! Nishkid64 (talk) 16:35, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Billy Crook

I have nominated Billy Crook, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Billy Crook. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. JD554 (talk) 15:57, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

I've withdrawn the AfD as I've since noticed your original article was overwritten with the details of a non-notable English player. --JD554 (talk) 16:05, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fall River

I am working on improving the article currently titled Fall River F.C. which suggests that all these clubs are the same. I believe that their should be at least two separate articles. One on Fall River Marksmen and one on the later Fall River F.C. clubs which are clearly distinct. If you are absolutely sure there is no direct link between Rovers and the later clubs then perhaps a separate article for Rovers should be also be included. The evidence linking Rovers to United is at best sketchy. Although the Ralph Caraffi article suggests their was some continuity and references Colin Jose as a source. I do not have access to this book so I can’t expand on it. That said I am not sure it is justified to have a category with just three or four players in it. The United and Marksmen category should definitely be merged, while the Rovers players could just be listed on the article. Djln--Djln (talk) 15:22, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Regarding mergers. If, for example, a team of all the same players that plays in the same league for 10 years but had 2 or 3 different sponsors over that period IMHO is basically the same franchise. A good example is White Banner Malt or Wellston. Others may not agree. I also think that if teams share a history then that to constitutes one franchise. An example of this could be Robins + Tebo = Todd or even U.C. Sampdoria. This way there are not too many stubs. Plus it would show that teams were not just come and go but actually had a little stability and history. Libro0 (talk) 20:37, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AAFA cup

Hi. I noticed that you made the AAFA cup page and set it up to include each edition (1912,1913) on its own page. If I may suggest, since there are only two tournaments, that the results for both be put all on the AAFA cup main page. I think it would fit. Libro0 (talk) 00:36, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

I placed both the 1912 and 1913 tournaments on the main page. They fit nicely with the 8 team bracket. I left the champions by year box in case you still wanted to put them on separate pages. Libro0 (talk) 20:35, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Signing comments

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! GBT/C 19:48, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] E-mail

Hi! Can you send me an email, please? I'd like to talk to you about a thing but, unfortunately, wikipedia isn't a forum. You find the adress on my user page. Thank you! --necronudist (talk) 18:48, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey? Are you afraid? I'm not gonna bite! :-D --necronudist (talk) 14:43, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the mails (mine and the St.Louis HoF)! I've answered you! --necronudist (talk) 19:11, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] american football association

Hi. I noticed your citation for the AFA that indicate it was founded in 1882 rather than 1884 as indicated in several other places. I was skeptical at first until I read an article dated Oct 19, 1887 which stated that the Clark ONT's "having held America's championship cup for five consecutive seasons...". This would seem to me that the American Cup was also awarded sooner than 1885 as some sources say. However I am reluctant to utilize this info since the earliest mention of any 'association foot ball' games involving afa teams are from May of 1884. Libro0 (talk) 03:19, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Zuzga

Apologies for the delete - it seems Zuzga only played for the Bucks in US Open Cup, not league play, which is why he doesn't appear on the PDL website. I stand corrected! --JonBroxton (talk) 06:11, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
