Hi,

We started a proposal Wikipedia:Wikiethics to state the existing policies coherently and make suggestions on improving the editorial standards in Wiki. I thought you might be interested in contributing to that proposal.

Unfortunately, a pro-porn and pro-offense lobby is trying to make this proposal a failure. They unilaterally started an approval poll although almost no one including me believe that it is time for a vote, simply because the policy is not ready. It is not even written completely.

Editors who thinks that the policy needs to be improved rather than killed by an unfair poll at the beginning of the proposal, started another poll ('Do we really need a poll at this stage?') at the same time. The poll is vandalized for a while but it is stable now. A NO vote on this ('Do we really need a poll now?') poll will strengthen the position of the editors who are willing to improve the ethics policy further.

Hi , Mohammed Malvankar,

I am Deepak D'Souza.

The reason that I am writing to you is because you have mentioned are a Malvani. I know a lot of people consider Malvani to be a dialect of Marathi, but it is also categorised as a dialect of Konkani. Not to dispute your opinion, in any way! To each man his own.

I have contacted you because I need your help with the Konkani Wikipedia. I have very little contact with Konkani Muslims , so I am hoping you can help.

We intend to make it a multiscript Wikipedia with each article present in at least three scripts: Roman, Devanagiri and Kannada, to represent the three most popular scripts. Additionally, if possible and if volunteers are willing, we would like to also have the main articles in two more scripts Arabic and Malayalam. Not only will each article be in different scripts each script will more-or-less be used for each major dialect.

For instance Devanagiri articles will be written in Malvani dialect and/or Goan Hindu dialects, Roman script articles in Goan Catholic dialect, Kannada script in Canara Catholic and/or GSB dialect and Arabic script for Konkani Muslim dialects.

I request you to take a look at the Konkani Wikipedia.It is on test at the Wikimedia Incubator:

Dear Mohammed Malvankar,

I am contacting you regarding a dispute on the Indo Greek article. You were kind enough to welcome me to wikipedia when I first joined and seem genuinely oriented towards its accuracy. As such, I wanted to bring to your attention the map that is posted on the article. One of the users has patched together a group of questionable maps to show that the indo greeks expanded into the the gangetic plain, madhya pradesh, and even Maharashtra. While there is much uncertainty clouding that era in Indian history, even the most liberal historian will not show such a projection. Moreover, that user aggrandizes the influence of greece on India and has conducted much original research. As such, please consider lending your support in putting and end to these sneaky edits and brazen npov violations.
