He was compelled to do so and, upon hearing his story, journalist Roma (Raveena Tandon) decides to help free him. This publicity gets noticed by Mr Jindhal (Naseeruddin Shah), Roma's boss and hidden drug peddler, and he decided to take Vishal under his wing, training him to get rid of the competition in the area.

Inspector Amar Saxena (Akshay Kumar) is unhappy about the release of Vishal, especially when he begins to turn up around every murder site he visits.

[edit] Music

The theme music (background music) of the film was a direct copy from the popular films Terminator 2 and Predator 2. The music of the film was one of the most successful soundtrack albums of the year, especially the song Tu Cheez Badi Hai. Film Producer Aneesh Kadakia has claimed this song to be one of the ten most significant Hindi film songs of the 90s. The song was actually a rehash of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's famous qawali Mast Qalandar.
