Mohammed Bennis

Mohammed Bennis was born in Fez in 1948. He is an important modern poet and literary essayist. He holds a Ph.D. and teaches literature at the University Mohammed V, faculty of letters, Rabat. In 1971 he founded the literary review Attakafa Aljadida. He is president of the House of Poetry in Morocco, and one of its founders.

He also co-founded éditions Toubkal in 1985.
