Mohammad Shehzad

Mohammad Shehzad (Arabic: محمد شهزاد), (born July 24, 1969) is an Islamabad, Pakistan based freelance journalist and poet.
According to the Sikhspectrum [1], he writes for some Pakistani and foreign publications:The News, Dawn, The Friday Times, Daily Times, South Asia Tribune (Washington, D.C.), Rediff.com (India), The Hoot (India), Bangladesh Observer.
His work has also been published by Outlook and Frontline (both Indian magazines).
Shehzad has written on a range of socio-political, environment and development issues. He has published a number of analytical articles, reports and interviews on jihad, fundamentalism, blasphemy and adultery laws, peace, human rights and several gender and child related issues. He has interviewed renowned figures such as Arundhati Roy, N Ram, Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Ahmad Rashid, Dr Parvez Hoodbhoy, Dr Ayesha Jalal, Ayaz Amir, John Cushnahan, Ahmed Salim, Shaheen Sehbai, Naheed Siddiqui, Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, Pundit Jasraj, Pundit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, and Ustad Shafaat Ahmad Khan. He has published reviews on the performance of Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Alla Rakha, and Ustad Sultan Khan.
A graduate in Journalism and Sociology, he has published 150 poems in English. Some of them have been published by www.poetry.com
