Mohammad Hardi Jaafar (born on May 30, 1979) is a Malaysian footballer who is a midfielder for Perak. He was the captain of the Melaka Telekom team prior to their withdrawal from the Malaysia Super League competition. He then agreed to join his home team Perak FA for the 2008 season. He scored an amazing goal in 2-0 win against Singapore Armed Forces FC to took Perak into the quarterfinal of the 2008 AFC Cup. He is a member of the Malaysia national football team.

After an impressive performance with Melaka Telekom in 2005 Malaysia Super League, Hardi was given his first ever international caps against New Zealand on February 19, 2006. With an impressive and creative performances, he was selected as one of 3 senior player by Norizan Bakar for the 2006 Doha Asian Games.

Hardi makes his first appearance in Asian Games by scoring a goal against Oman U-23. He then score an amazing goal against China U-23 in the second match. However Malaysia finish bottom of the group after losing all three matches, 1:3 against Oman U-23, 1:3 against China U-23, and then trash by the silver medalist Iraq U-23 4:0.

Hardi was selected in 2007 ASEAN Football Championship. He play all the matches in the tournament as a starting eleven. He made his first international goal in the semi final against Singapore. However Malaysia eventually lost to Singapore in the penalty shootout after drawing second games in Singapore.

After involve for the national team for one year. He then again chosen into the national team. He play all Malaysia matches in 2007 AFC Asian Cup. In this tournament, Malaysia trash by China in the opening game 1:5, 5:0 against Uzbekistan, then to quarterfinalist Iran 0:2.
