Mohammad Ahman al-Naziri

On 30 March 1997, Mohammad Ahman al-Naziri killed six students and two staff members after entering two local schools in Sanaá, Yemen with an assault rifle. The 48-year-old Naziri—who fought in Afghanistan against the Soviets—alleged that a school administrator had raped one of his daughters. Naziri was sentenced to death the following day and executed by firing squad on 5 April 1997.
