Mohamed Zaki (born February 20, 1953), also known as Nazaki Zaki or Sandhaanu Zaki, is a well recognized and respected businessman in the Maldives. He is also the founder of Nazaki Services Pvt. Ltd which is a house hold name in the country. While being a well reputed business man, he is also a part time politician in the opposition party MDP Maldivian Democratic Party. He is among the few respected political figures in the Maldives who had stood up against a corrupt Government during the time when there was no freedom of speech in the country. The struggle which him and others had gone through has made a big political impact within just 4 to 5 years. In 2007, Maldivians are now able to speak openly against the Government and the Police without the fear of being arrested, beaten or tortured. This is a complete change compared to the year 2003.
During his youth life, Zaki had struggled to earn money and support his family. However he had managed to worked hard and not only support his Wife (Nazima Asir) and his five children, but he had also established one of the biggest companies in the country.
