The Mogdaan is a fictional monster seen in the 1978 film Warlords of Atlantis. A mostly upright, charcoal grey creature with short catfish-like whiskers on its upper and lower mandibles, a ridged head, and short fins in lieu of front legs, and basically resembling a gigantic mudskipper, the Mogdaan inhabits the muck pit in the swamps of the outer limits beyond the city of Atlantis. It spends most of its time beneath the water, but occasionally will rise into view looking for prey.

It is first encountered by the castaways from the Texas Rose when they are being led to Atlantis by Atmir, and they must pass by the pit that the Mogdaan calls home. The behemoth rises from the water with a great gurgling bellow and snarls menacingly at the Atlanteans and their human "guests" before vanishing back into the depths.

Later, after escaping Atlantis, the heroes must pass by the pit again, and this time the Mogdaan surfaces before they get there. Armed with rifles, British scientist Charles Aitken and American engineer Greg Collinson shoot at the Mogdan numerous times with rifles, causing it to sink back down. They signal for the others to come, but as they are passing the pit, the Mogdaan suddenly explodes into view a third time. The adventurers are unprepared for the beast's third appearance and can do nothing to stop it from eating crew member Jacko. Jacko is seized in the fearsome jaws and devoured as the rest of the team runs for safety.
