[edit] Background to story

[edit] World War III

  • Propaganda machine established during the war to convert people to connect neurologically to a universal network under the false pretext of peace and unity. This mechanism was left in place after the war. Example of Big Brother like in Nineteen Eighty-Four.
  • Technology during and after the war became directed at subverting consciousness, and industrializing effecient thinking.
  • The World Wide Web is almost fully H.G. Wells' vision of the World Brain at this point. Each person has become interconnected to every other person and they all share data.
  • Society has become much like the Borg but more chaotic looking and less agressive.

  • Adam is rushed. he just wants to know that Eva is ok. Is defensive.
  • Doctor trys to sell Adam a plan to plug in with 0% APR Financing with no credit down. Or he could go for a plan to rent unused brain-space.
  • Adam rejects all of these projects, and defensively standing his ground stands up in the meeting.
  • the doctor also stands up, and Adam demands to know that Eva is ok.
  • the pair look at her, and the doctor tells adam that it will be about a month before she will be fully adjusted to her new modem. "The mind will not adjust immediately. It takes some getting used to."

  • robot voice through box ¿like a female version of HAL / biometrics everything is measured to control him, spouting off measurements down to fractions of a second like NIKE in documentary The Corporation. Exaggerated example of this in this Donald Duck Cartoon.
