[edit] A note on the article's title and capitalization

The slightly odd capitalization of this title is intentional, as this is the form used by the USFS, who developed the MAFFS program. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 17:58, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sectioning

Seems like this article has too many sections. That could promote expansion, I guess. In any event, I suggest moving the Overview content to the Configuration section. Looks like to me the lead provides a good overview by itself. Just a suggestion..

A question, are the MAFFS crew all military or are there Forest Service people onboard the plane for coordination? Thanks. -Fnlayson 03:16, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the comments, I'm not really happy with how I laid it out, either. Will try to make changes tomorrow. As for the crewing, excellent question...I believe they are all military, the coordination would be with the USFS lead plane which always provides flight path guidance over the target. However, I don't have, at the moment, a ref that I can point to on that. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 04:08, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I've reorganized it a bit, hope that looks better. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 17:57, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
