Modran (Cyrillic: Модран) is a place located 12km south of the city of Bijeljina in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

[edit] About Modran
Modran is situated on a major regional road that stretches 4.5km between Janja and Suho Polje. To the north of Modran is Glogovac while to the south is Čengić. Modran is part of the municipality of Bijeljina which lies on the flat rich planes of Semberija. Modran is divided up into parts: Kozluchani, Srednji Modran, Donja Mala, Obadice and Bukova Greda. There are 2 rivers that run through Modran. The main river is known as river Modran.
The people of Modran are of Serbian Orthodox religion. Modran has its own church “Saint Petra and Pavla”. Modran has an elementary school known as OŠ "Meša Selimović".
The population census in 1991 showed Modran had 1411 inhabitants. 1398 were Serbs, 2 were Croats, and 11 were of other nationalities. Today Modran has a population around 1400-1500 where the entire population is Serb.

Modran has a football club known as FK Modran, which in 2006-07 competes in Republika Srpska 4th Division (First league of Opstina Bijeljina). The club was formed in 1979. FK Modran's home uniform colours are red and white while their away uniform is blue. The clubs stadium is located next to the Church Saint Petra and Pavle.
