From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Modomnoc (died c. 550 AD) was an Irish saint and missionary who was a disciple of St. David of Wales and a member of the O'Neill royal family.[1] According to legend, he introduced bees to Ireland when a swarm followed him from his monastery in Wales where he had been a beekeeper to his native Ireland.[2]
