Modlife is an online community website (which is currently in beta form) that allows for bands to communicate directly with fans. Derived from social networking services, the site offers users the ability to have view premium content and to question bands. Founded and adapted by entrepreneur and musician Tom Delonge the site currently hosts as his bands (Angels & Airwaves) official website. Currently it boasts a feature known as ModBlast which gives users the opportunity to discuss matters with the band over a live chat or video stream. It is scheduled for a re-launch with other bands to be added in June, to coincide with Warped Tour. Tom Delonge stated that the focus of the site was to "be connected to the fans basically through the best technologies that exist right now."[1] DeLonge stated in a blog on March 20, 2008 that the ModLife website was now completely built. He also mentioned that other bands are being set up with their own Modlife pages, and that Modlife will properly launch before Warped Tour 2008, including user-created pages. [2]
