Modakurichi is a panchayat town in Erode district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Modakkurichi is situated in the 15th kilometer from Erode.
As of 2001 India census[1],Modakurichi had a population of 10,036. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Modakurichi has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 52%.
