ModEdit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ModEdit was the first tracked music software released on the PC. It went through three versions: a private 1.0 release, then the well known 2.0 and an unpopular 3.0 release. It was the first software that allowed PC owners to produce music that previously only Amiga owners could create. It also expanded the range of octaves that could be used and introduced several new effects to the format. ModEdit had an advanced user interface for its era, allowing the user to edit without HEX data and was mouse controlled.
