Description |
The "Light Flasher" article mentioned on the cover was Transistorized Tracking Light for Night Launched Model Rockets by Capt. Forrest M. Mims. This would become the first product sold by Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems (MITS). In 1975, MITS introduced the first successful personal computer, the Altair 8800. The press release announcing the formation of MITS was in the December 1969 issue. The prototype light flasher is on display at the "STARTUP: Albuquerque and the Personal Computer Revolution" wing of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. |
