Category talk:Modern Creative saxophonists

[edit] Category
I don't accept this category. Where did it come from? It should be deleted. Badagnani 16:46, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- & again, I agree--a useless category, which violates NPOV to boot (so other saxophonists aren't "creative"?). Delete. --ND 20:43, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- It does not "violate" anything. All Music Guide lists Modern Creative as a sub-genre of free jazz, so no "POV" has been inserted. The terms Modern Creative and Early Creative are often used in reference to certain free jazz musicians. All Music Guide is the largest and most respected database out there concerning music, and it staffs only professionals. If you have a problem with the term, I suggest you take it up with them. - AMG is the largest, but it's an increasingly haphazard collection of info & pseudo-info--it takes about five seconds to find errors in its database, & for reliable reference materials I'd use many other sources over it (the New Grove, the Rough Guide to Jazz, &c). -- & it is still a completely ridiculous category, especially if you look at the names included in it so far, which seem to be drawn out of a hat (Don Wilkerson & Peter Apfelbaum??). You would make a more meaningful list if you create a Category:Jazz Musicians Whose Names Contain the Letter "K". --ND 01:24, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
