Mocidade Portuguesa

The Mocidade Portuguesa (English: Portuguese Youth) was a compulsory Portuguese paramilitary youth organization under the right-wing regime of the Estado Novo, under dictator António de Oliveira Salazar, with smilarities and based upon the model of the Nazi Hitler Youth[citation needed]. Founded in 1936, it was dissolved after the Carnation Revolution of 1974, being considered as a Fascist organization.
