[edit] ARTICLE CONPLETLEY REDONE
I have redone the entire article, adding information on Mobb's early life, rise to success and extensivley, their relationship with G-Unit. I have left the beef section intact, although it seems to be extremley inconclusive and somewhat inaccurate, as well as not propoerly sourced. I have cited all my sources and think the article is now somewhat complete. Anybody with additional info feel free to add, with citations of course. --Mastagags 20:55, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

- There is also some discrepancy as to what record labels Mobb Deep was signed to and for what albums. Because of this I am taking out the dates until the labels and exact dates can be verified**
- Thank You! your contributions are greatly appreciated. Tutmosis 20:57, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
whoever keeps putting (RIAA: Platinum) next to the Blood Money section after ive deleted time after time please stop...its the 2nd time i got to delete it. it hasnt gone platinum yet and i doubt it will.

- Somebody seriously needs to read the last two paragraphs under Rise To Success. I'd say they should just be deleted entirely until somebody can write something more appropriate to Wikipedia's standards** —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.146.34.227 (talk) 06:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Mobb Deep Signs with G-Unit Records
You can read about it here. I don't know the date of the actual signing or any of the details, but if someone finds that out they should update the article. --Mjp797 17:50, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Mobb Deep are some PUNKS, they released "Drop a gem on em" or whatever "after" Tupac died, but they knew that if they released it while he was alive Tupac would woop their butts.
actually 'drop a gem on em' was released shortly after 2pac was released from the jail. However most people outside of new york never herd it until Hell on Earth was released in nov. 1996
"However the claim that they had sold out because of the diss is very hypocritical and many true Mobb Deep fans see it as plain and simple hatin'. This is because although 50 cent made a small indirect diss to the duo, Jay-Z dissed Nas and rumoured slept with his Baby Mother and despite the latter being worse it is credited that Nas has signed to Def Jam of which Jay-Z is President" - Deleted the entire lot because it is obviously an opinion, very badly written and of no real use here. 62.25.109.195 14:26, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] copyvio
I reverted this page way back to the May 22 version, before User:Escobar600ie uploaded huge amounts of copyrighted text from http://www.mp3.com/mobb-deep/artists/31917/biography.html .
I know a lot of stuff got lost, and this page is pretty lame now, but we can rebuild it. (Actually, you can rebuild it. I don't know much about Mobb Deep.)Staecker 02:50, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] WP:WEASEL
The phrase below is pretty much a textbook example of WP:WEASEL:
- The track "Shook Ones Pt.II", from their The Infamous album is considered by many to be one of the best hip-hop tracks of all time.
If you have a reputable source you can cite which backs up this claim, then by all means supply it. Until then, it's simply POV text and has no place here.
All the best.

[edit] Q-Tip Was Not a Co-producer
He produced one song on the Infamous album -- that's it. This article paints the picture that he was an in-house producer taking on a large portion of the work.
Actually, Q-Tip produced three tracks on The Infamous. They were: Give Up The Goods (Just Step), Temperature's Rising, and Drink Away The Pain. He's credited as "The Abstract" and only RHYMES on one of them. I'll still agree with you; him producing only three tracks shouldn't make him be considered as a co-producer. I would expect him to have to produce at least half of the tracks to be considered "co-producer". - Tainted Drifter
[edit] Vote on merge
I nominated The Infamous (album) page be merged into The Infamous. They basically are the same thing, so no reason to have 2 articles talking about the same information about the same album. Vote at Talk:The Infamous. - Tutmosis 18:53, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Clean up
Cleaned up several areas and linked some albums that should be on Wikipedia. There are track listings somewhere, so the articles for the albums can be created. Most of the work was minor editing. Maybe we can remove the copy editing tag now? Just a thought. Jogabbeyjr 20:27, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
It stands to reason that a mention of Phonte's so called critique of Blood Money should be removed, due to it not being relevent to the information about the album, not to mention the fact that Phonte his self downplays the criticism when asked about it, and the relative insignificance of the comments.
[edit] Their names origin
I guess the article could say somewhere that Havoc and Prodigy got their names from South Central Cartel members. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SuperBleda (talk • contribs) 03:13, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Add this to the article
What about Mobb Deep? Jake Venolia is mobb deeps best friend
2Pac: My little homies is attacking them. That's why I'm not even addressing the Mobb Deep issue. They're not even on my level. I find it disrespectful that they would even think they can attack me or the West Coast... So I don't even address those busta ass fakes.. Please print that.... It is on and poppin'. If you don't see me rushin' them that means it's cause they bowed down. Those Mobb Deep fools they don't want it.. Chino XL, Mobb Deep , Bad Boy, Biggie , Lil Ceasar, Junior Mafia all of them is on our hitlist and I'm getting with them with my new click called The Outlaws. They're some Jersey dudes who are keeping that east coast flava poppin' . It's some west coast dudes, southern dudes.. It's the epitome of what I represent. I got Big Syke from Thug Life ...

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mobb Deep Album The Infamous.jpg
Image:Mobb Deep Album The Infamous.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:10, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
