Mobissimo

Mobissimo.com is a travel meta-search website based in California. The site was started in 2004 with one million USD of seed financing from Benhamou Global Ventures, Cambrian Ventures and Index Ventures[1]. Similar to other travel meta-search websites, Mobissimo does not sell directly to the consumer but its business model is based on consolidating travel offerings from a number of vendors and receiving a referral fee for sending visitors to vendors' sites (also known as pay per click advertising).

Mobissimo's competitors include Kayak, SideStep and Farecast. Mobissimo has traditionally been considered the third most popular travel meta-search engine in the United States, behind Kayak and SideStep. In the summer of 2007 the site has been surpassed by Farecast[2].
