Mobile porn
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mobile Porn also known as Cellphone Porn or Cell porn, is pornography distributed by mobile devices such as the Sony PSP, Apple iPod, and mobile phones.[1]
The mobile porn business expects to grow to a $2.3 billion market value by 2010 [2] as demand for mobile erotic entertainment by adults is reaching an all-time high.
Furthermore, mobile porn is becoming an increasing part of the sex industry, as it strives to innovate, diversify and increase client numbers.

[edit] North America
North American uptake of Cell Porn has been slower than those of European or Asian continents (who mainly refer to it as Mobile Porn) some say due to the slower uptake of color handsets with suitable screens for browsing such sites within north America over recent years. However recently Cell Porn is becoming more popular and is creating a problem for mobile Carriers who have been waiting for suitable age verification software to be in place before allowing its customers to view cell porn sites.
Another unique difference in the North American Cell Porn market is that carriers are not allowing adult sites to use their billing mechanisms such as billing via premium SMS unlike their European counterparts and therefore further slowing market growth.
[edit] Criticisms
There has been some criticism regarding mobile porn, with children being exposed to inappropriate and unregulated content [3] [4] Network operators are now beginning to implement age verification systems though, which demand customers who want to buy porn through their phone to be a verified adult first.
Sony, the company which created the PSP, say they are unhappy with the spread of PSP Porn, but claim to be unable to stop its spread.[5]
