[edit] Issues of this article

In 1963 Barbosa was given the old square goal posts from the MaracanĂ£ as a present.

Here the statement old square goal posts are probably used to build up some pretend plausibility. Round goal posts were not introduced before the 1970s, or even early 1980s, that was also when wood made place for aluminium.

Inofficial Tournaments

All of these tournaments are GARBAGE!!! and should not be mentioned here! South American football friends, even more so our Brazilian amigos, attribute to them an importance which should not really be attributed. If the European afficionados were to use the same standards, this would blow up the Palmares of quite many clubs there no end.

It is already problematic enough if os Europeos want to sell "League" and "Super" Cups as major honours, the former being a tournament of sorts which can be many different things depending on year and country, the latter being a single pre-season warm-up match. "Official" they might be, but garbage all the same! Oalexander-En 16:42, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
