[edit] Plot

This series introduces Momoko Asuka, a Japanese-American mahō-shōjo (magical girl). The Witch Queen requests that the Witch Senate recognize Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko, and Onpu as skilled in witchcraft and thus make them witches formally, but several senators are opposed, stating that the girls will remain witch apprentices, and will once again be tested by their magical abilities. Their test concerns the use of pastries, so the Maho-Do is reopened as a sweet shop. Mōtto! Ojamajo Doremi introduces cell phones that help assist fairy transportation and help to communicate with Momoko, who can only speak English unless she is in her witch uniform. It also introduces the Magical Cookbook diary, with which they use to record the recipes that they create.

During the series, the former queen of the Witch Land attempts to stop Hana-chan from becoming too powerful by making her dislike vegetables, which are essential to Hana-chan's health and power. The ojamajo try to help Hana-chan like vegetables again by adding them in their pastries to gain Hana-chan's power back. An additional witch was rumoured to be added during this season whose name was Kurumi. However, this was heresay and was revealed to be a fan made character by the artist, Shin.

[edit] New changes

  • The four original girls wear new casual outfits from this season onwards which are slightly different from the previous two.
  • Each of the girls also gain a wrist device and a gem ring, which, when combined, form a henshin device.
  • Momoko is introduced and is seen as a poor speaker of Japanese though her language skills increase dramatically when she transforms into her witch form.
  • Momoko's was previously an apprentice to a Witch who was a skilled baker which helps the girls in the Maho-do which has been designed yet again.
  • The girls also have a second outfit called a Patissier Outfit, showing them wearing headsets in the store. It has also been noted that the girls' witch outfit is reversible with their patissier outfit in this season.
  • Kotake's shirt is promoted from a 9 to a 10.
