[edit] Sir Ninian Stephen's article
Hello, Mnstephen.
You seem determined to remove the information about Sir Ninian's daughter Mary being at one time married to Peter Hayes. I've asked you not to do this without explanation, but you seem resolute. Do you dispute this association? If so, why have you not removed it from Peter Hayes' own article? (That, by the way, is not an invitation to do just that). And why have you not provided any justification for this? It's on the public record.
Your user name leads me to suspect that you are Mary Stephen herself. If so, I draw your attention to Wikipedia:Autobiography, and in particular the section about Conflicts of Interest. The potential problem is that people who edit either their own articles, or articles in which their name is mentioned, can either inflate their own achievements, or downplay aspects of their lives to which they do not wish to draw attention. This raises the perception that the principle of Wikipedia:Neutral Point of View, one of the pillars of Wikipedia, is at risk of being violated.
I'd be grateful for your comments. Cheers -- JackofOz 07:13, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- I see you've done what I asked you not to do. How long will this go on? -- JackofOz 01:22, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
