MLS Reserve Division 2005

The MLS Reserve Division is a USA soccer league for the reserve teams of Major League Soccer, much like the English FA Premier Reserve League is to the FA Premier League.

It was inaugurated on April 9, 2005, with the first official reserve game being a 2-0 victory by Chivas USA over the host San Jose Earthquakes.

On October 16, 2005, D.C. United clinched the first MLS Reserve Division title, with an overall record of 8-4-0, led by striker Jamil Walker with 8 goals and 3 assists. MetroStars were the Runners-up.
