Mladen Krstajić (Serbian Cyrillic: Младен Крстајић; born March 4, 1974 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina,SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian footballer. He plays for the German Bundesliga side, Schalke 04.
After playing in the youth system of Čelik Zenica, Krstajić fled to Senta, Serbia in April 1992, following the breakout of inter-ethnic war in Bosnia. Once in Serbia, he started playing with FK Senta for 6 months. He then moved on to OFK Kikinda, before eventually earning a dream move to powerhouse FK Partizan.
Krstajić has been a part of the Serbian national team's "Famous Four" defence, which conceded just one goal during the qualifying for the 2006 World Cup. The other members of the famous four are Goran Gavrančić of Dynamo Kiev, Manchester United's Nemanja Vidić, and Ivica Dragutinović of Sevilla.
