From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, Mkoval,
Generally, the articles about people should be named Firstname Lastname rather than Lastname, Firstname.. I've changed Ludwig von Bertalanffy and von Bertalanffy, Ludwig around. If you want to read more about the various ways we try to keep things simple and consistent, have a look at Wikipedia:Naming conventions. Happy wiki-ing... -- Someone else 21:38 Mar 29, 2003 (UTC)~ --- Thanks for the correction, I'm new to Wikipedia and haven't yet been able to master all the conventions.

BTW, where is the place to discuss posssible recommendations for section heading conventions?

Not to worry, there are always more conventions being invented. They're impossible to master<G>. I don't know about a place for section heading conventions but the Village Pump is one place to try. -- Someone else 02:51 Mar 30, 2003 (UTC)

Hello there, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you need pointers on how we title pages visit Wikipedia:Naming conventions or how to format them visit our manual of style. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Village pump. Cheers! --maveric149

I've responded to your message on my talk page. --mav 00:00 Mar 31, 2003 (UTC)

I am looking for people interested in developing a GNU Free Documentation License Project Management Standard (just like the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge, but possibly better).

Hi Mkoval,

I don't really know anything about project management, but I wish you luck with your project. If I were you, I'd try to locate the mailing list where project management people hang out, and post an announcement there. Cheers, AxelBoldt 17:41 Apr 6, 2003 (UTC)

Thanks, Axel. That's exactly what I did just a minute ago! user:Mkoval

Mkoval, I see you want to set up a wiki. I strongly recommend that you do not try to use our Wikipedia software. If you're not an experienced programmer with MySQL experience, you'll have a miserable time with it. There are many, many other choices. I personally like UseModWiki, which is quite easy to set up and has a reasonable number of features. -- Stephen Gilbert 20:16 Apr 21, 2003 (UTC)

Mkoval, I reverted your change at Artemis because I don't think it is appropriate to make a disambiguation page for this subject. The goddess is much more famous and of more general interest, I think, and it looks like every link to the page is about the goddess, not the software. This is especially true since the software doesn't even have an article yet. I added disambig block at the top of Artemis. Tuf-Kat 03:58, Dec 14, 2003 (UTC)

Good idea! Mkoval 14:12, 16 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Glad to see you started a new list. I made a couple of minor changes and I changed the TOC. What do you think about the alternative alphabet? I added your new list to the main business page. One question arises, How many links should we leave on the management list? In the past when I created a new list, like the IT list or HR list, I removed all links except the main category title article (in this case Project Management). What do you think? mydogategodshat 16:35, 15 Dec 2003 (UTC)

The alternative alphabet is much better!
Thanks for adding the list to the list of lists. I was going to do it but I'm glad there are other people out there to help out.
RE removing links on the management list, I think it's a good idea. Let's just leave the link to the main category title article and maybe to the list of project management topics. Mkoval 14:12, 16 Dec 2003 (UTC)

[edit] My message on mav's talk page

Sorry, my fault for not using a section header. I meant I had replied to mav, and not about automatic list creation. Apologies for the confusion :) Angela. 13:48, 30 Dec 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Process Management

I found this article and thought that you might know better what to do with it than I. Maybe merge it into Process management. mydogategodshat 08:23, 30 Jan 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Unverified images

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following images:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. Peter O. (Talk, automation script) 05:38, Dec 11, 2004 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

[edit] Software

Just a note that I'm starting to make some changes to Project management software, List of project management software, and Comparison of project management software, which I know you're interested in. Ojw 21:26, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] List of process management topics

I have added a "prod" template to the article List of process management topics, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
