Hi, I saw your page at Constantine (video game). Please note that "placeholder" entries are generally frowned upon. If you would like to contribute, I suggest reading over Wikipedia:Your first article to get to grips with the normal procedure. If you've any questions, please leave a note on my talk page =). Lankiveil (talk) 09:20, 31 December 2007 (UTC).

To build upon what Lankiveil said, I would recommend that you create a subpage (something like User:MKguy42192/testpage) to work on articles you're writing, before actually creating them. Cheers, faithless (speak) 09:29, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm not really sure what brought this on. I was trying to be friendly and to help you out. If you don't appreciate that, fine. But do not insult other editors, or you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. faithless (speak) 09:43, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
I realize you're new here, which is exactly why I was trying to be helpful and give you advice. As for not knowing you were being harsh, when is calling someone a jackass ever acceptable? You might want to take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to Wikipedia. faithless (speak) 09:53, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Don't worry about it, we all make mistakes, especially when we're new. Good luck. faithless (speak) 09:59, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Well I wouldn't say all that. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions as you learn your way around. faithless (speak) 10:04, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:IGN.jpg.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:IGN.jpg.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-IGN.jpg.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:IGN.jpg.jpg. The copy called Image:IGN.jpg.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 05:44, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Constantine (video game)

Looks pretty good now. I was only concerned because when I tagged the article it was empty of any actual content. Pages like that tend to get deleted fairly quickly. What you've got there now looks like an excellent start for an article though! Lankiveil (talk) 09:32, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi MKguy, I didn't get chance to say hello earlier. I'll be glad to help contribute towards the Constantine article. I've not played the game, but I'm quite good a citing sources, etc. Don't forget to say hello at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games! Marasmusine (talk) 20:13, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello, welcome back. How come you've got a administrator wikibox on your userpage? Marasmusine (talk) 08:42, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of TopWebComics.com

A tag has been placed on TopWebComics.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Blowdart | talk 08:56, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
