[edit] Kappa's comment and the reason for its reversion

It was reverted since he spammed the message to a multitude of talk pages and gave a highly one-sided summary as an attempt to votestack which is completely unacceptable. JoshuaZ 03:30, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Username change

"Dante" is actually already taken; the instructions at the top of the page (which are in fact fairly straightforward) tell how you might have gone about discovering this fact before making a request. You are welcome to resubmit your request at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations, where you can "usurp" another name after a waiting period. Kind regards — Dan | talk 04:55, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

I followed the instructions and checked quite thoroughly because I thought it must have been taken already. I'm sorry, but I'm confused - Searching for User:Dante only yields a template for creation of that page, and there's no talk page. I also looked at the User List like the page suggested and searched for "Dante", and the link was red. Unless there's something I'm missing, I honestly thought I'd done this by the book. Again, my apologies. Mk623SC20K 05:02, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Ah, I see your mistake: if the name appears in the list at all, it is taken. This wasn't clear in the instructions, and I've fixed it now. Thanks for noticing the flaw. — Dan | talk 06:01, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
