[edit] Charles Memminger

Why have you blanked all articles you created about Charles Memminger? Charles Memminger is the correct place for the info, and the redirects you made were correct. If you want to retract them, please add a speedy deletion tag to the page and explain that you want to have it deleted (as the sole editor). Thank you! Mgm|(talk) 11:06, Feb 7, 2005 (UTC)

Damn. I was hoping nobody would notice.

I deleted the articles because I screwed up. After writing a nice article on Christopher Memminger, I listed it under the name Charles Memminger. I realized my mistake after only a few minutes and moved the article (and redirects) to the correct spot. MK2 11:10, 7 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Anti Sikh riots

You italicized the entire 'incident' part of the Anti-Sikh Riots. Actually the 'incident' which I have written is not exactly the same as the Kristalnacht 1984 report. My writings are based on a newspaper report which in turn based on the Kristalnacht 1984 report. If u can somehow get the exact copy of this report please put it on the page. bye gaurav Gaurav1146 10:10, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Sorry. My mistake. I thought the paragraph I italicized was an excerpt from the source you mentioned. MK2 18:18, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Survivor: Palau

Sorry about editing over your work! My local CBS affiliate showed the show an hour late due to the presidential press conference, and it took me a while to get the table done.  :( Mo0[talk] 02:49, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • No problem. I was surprised to see I was the first to make the other edits. I did put back in part of what I had previously written - I think Stephenie's threat as a competitor was as important a factor as her former tribal membership in the decision to vote her out. [edit] lots of edits, not an admin

Hi - I made a list of users who've been around long enough to have made lots of edits but aren't admins. If you're at all interested in becoming an admin, can you please add an '*' immediately before your name in this list? I've suggested folks nominating someone might want to puruse this list, although there is certainly no guarantee anyone will ever look at it. Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 18:21, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)

  • Thank you for the interest, but I don't see it as something I'd want to do. I don't have the expertise to handle technical issues and I don't have the patience to handle personal disputes. MK2 15:00, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for your edits...

Thanks for your edits on the Steven Barnes bit I did... I see I need to do a little more proofreading of my contributions in the future. Thanks again.

[edit] Sources for Gretchen Phillips

Hello, good work on Gretchen Phillips, and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. Can you list in the article any websites, books, or other sources that will allow people to verify the content in Gretchen Phillips? You can simply add links, preferably as the inline citations, or see citation templates for different citation methods. Thanks! Lupin|talk|popups 18:23, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

  • Personally, I usually only provide cites when I'm posting something that's likely to be disputed. I suppose I could find a cite for the fact that Gretchen Phillips was born in Galveston, Texas, but I haven't seen anyone question this fact. So I would just be looking around to any reference that lists her birthplace, find that all of them give the same information, and then arbitrarily picking one as a "cite". That seems a little pointless. MK2 03:54, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Lincoln cent

You're probably right. The cent article needs to be a broader overview. JonMoore 19:12, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikicity

Hey you seem like a Harry Turtledove fan, wondering if you would like to help out on the Harry Turtledove wikicity. Your help would be appreciated. Raylan 03:53, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Steven Barnes

In case you were still wondering, Steven Barnes has worked extensively with both Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Basique 02:21, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bobbits

Uh, everything else aside, go consult a dictionary.
--Jerzyt 06:27, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Okay, technically, Bobbitt was a victim of a penectomy not castration. But realistically, who says the word penectomy in normal usage? Other than that, what were your problems? MK2 06:37, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CFD again for "Entertainers by age upon death"

It has been proposed to merge the content of Liberty Law into Young Plan. Since you have previously edited one of these articles, I thought you might be interested. You're welcome to participate in the discussion if you like. --B. Wolterding 14:36, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Playboy1198.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Playboy1198.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 19:44, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Jim carey rolling stone cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Jim carey rolling stone cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:47, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
