Heinlein Synopses

Copied from this page: Talk:Robert A. Heinlein

Human adopted by Martians returns to Earth. He shares the knowledge and powers he has gained, while learning about human sexuality; hilarity ensues.

Poddy, her uncle and brother undertake a diplomatic mission on behalf of Martian sovreignty and independence. Lots of shenanigans and hijinks. Then more serious stuff. Poddy doesn't die. Or she does. David in DC (talk) 01:22, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Howabout I Will Fear No Evil: Johann is old and rich. His brain is transplanted into his secretary's body after she is killed, but she is still there, or is she? Maybe a third one joins them. They all die anyway.--Wehwalt (talk) 15:36, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

First article

Van Smith Mary Vivian Pearce

A fine start and yes, you have every business doing this. Would that every newbie, as you name yourself, started like this. The best next step is for you to place inline citations for the material instead of simply listing the references you used under the references section. If you need any help doing so, do not hesitate to drop me a message on my talk page. Meanwhile, I have converted your one text citation, which was a naked link, into an inline citation. I have also added additional categories, a template which sorts those categories by Smith's last name rather than first, metadata information and a stub tag. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:19, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

I removed the cleanup tag and switched {{refimprove}}to {{nofootnotes}}. As I advised at the help desk, the article really needs inline citations for verification purposes. As for the stub tag, that should remain until the article's coverage becomes somewhat broad. It's a very nice start but it's still a nascent article, providing basic information in five short paragraphs. You might want to look at some featured articles to see what articles can become over time. That is not to say that all articles have to be very long. There are some topics that there is simply not enough published information out there to use to write extensively, but there's certainly much more to be added here. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 21:24, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your input on the changes I made to the John Waters' entries. I'm still not satisfied with the Female Trouble plot summary. I'm reading Waters' Crackpot and Shock Value to get his slant on his films. I think what Female Trouble needs most is historical context. (E.g., Waters has said his movies were "punk rock movies before there was punk rock"--stuff like that.) Thanks again for your message. I usually only get snarky comments and hate mail, so it was a refreshing change of pace. Kinkyturnip (talk) 04:15, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I saw your message on User_talk:Wedineinheck. I have answered your question on the article talk page, talk:Zé do Caixão‎. Hope that helps. (suggest continued discussion be there) -- (message left by Lar (talk) 15:19, 5 April 2008)

My pleasure, Mjpresson! I have several other Russ Meyer poster images I've scanned and meant to upload, but unfortunately I've misplaced a lot of the work I meant to do today... They'll be up soon though. Cheers! Dekkappai (talk) 21:12, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

John Waters

Concerning the link on the Hairspray page.

Interviews don't have to be formatted like a Q & A. This is an interview admittedly buried in the midst of a feature cover story with an overview of Waters' career, but it's there. How about calling it an article AND an interview? Noahveil (talk) 19:35, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

The link this editor wants to include leads to a page consisting of a few general quotes, beginner photoshop experiments, and a flawed trivia quiz.

Look at this editor's talk page: (here). Mike

Since the piece was proofread by John Waters himself when it was printed 20 years ago, I'd like to know what is in it that you consider "false." And photoshop wasn't around 20 years ago either.
