MizuPhone is a VOIP client for instant messaging, Internet telephony and video over IP, conceived as a SIP-compatible softphone with costumizable GUI.
Since Mizuphone is based on the open standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), it can inter-operate with other SIP-based networks directly, although some data can be routed via central SIP servers. This avoids the phone system and is thus free of charge. Mizuphone also will use encryption for media and signaling.
