Mizuki Kawashita (河下 水希 Kawashita Mizuki?, born August 30, in Shizuoka, Japan) is a manga artist. Her first public work was a doujinshi called Innocent in 1993, and her most popular works are Lilim Kiss (2 volumes) and Ichigo 100% (19 volumes released in Japan). Her latest series is Hatsukoi Limited, which has been completed. Her former pen name is "Mikan Momokuri" (桃栗 みかん Momokuri Mikan?).
Her trademark is that her female characters are not unnaturally thin, but tend to be closer to real world proportions. Mostly they still follow the shōnen traits of female leads, meaning they are usually cute, buxom, sexy, or curvy, in order to appeal to the young male readers. Occasionally they will be drawn in revealing outfits or in various states of undress. Another, more minor trait of hers is that the majority of her male roles have their names ending in "a" (Manaka, Sotomura, Ookusa, Komiyama, Kojima, Takaya, Amamiya, etc.). The three exceptions are "Chappy" from Lilim Kiss and Higure and Amachi from Ichigo 100%. Amachi and "chappy"'s full names are never revealed. Due to having heavily shōnen-oriented manga published in magazines like Shonen Jump, a common misconception is to assume that the mangaka of her works is a man.
